STUDENT CONTEST
Seersucker Live is all about the children. They are the future and we are futuristic. So, with the help of local colleges and universities, Seersucker Live distributes the quarterly writing prompt to area post-secondary students and invites them to submit their own original writing to the Seersucker Live Collegiate Writing Contest, which is held in conjunction with our reading event.
The winning students will be invited to perform their original work at Seersucker Live alongside the established writers on the bill. In addition, all the winners and finalists will have their work included in the Seersucker Annual, which will be compiled at the end of the year. We may, as financial circumstances dictate, offer a small cash award. But most of all we offer dignity, pride, and an appreciative audience.
College students interested in entering should go to the contact page and email the editors. We will, when the time is right, send you a copy of the current writing prompt with detailed instructions on how to enter.
