The Seersucker Rag is a free quarterly zine published by Seersucker Live that features the prose, poetry, comics, and illustrations of Savannah area writers and artists.
All writing is limited to 500 words or less, and comics and illustrations are similarly shortish.
Find a copy in your favorite local coffee shop, bookstore, or other venue in which you might be inclined toward a quick read.
If you are interested in submitting to The Seersucker Rag, visit our CONTACT page and email your submission to the address that you find there. All submissions are reviewed by our editors, and replies usually come pretty quickly. If you haven’t heard back from us in a month, shoot us another email or assume we are ignoring you.
Submissions of prose and poetry should be cut and pasted into the body of an email.
All writing should possess literary merit, but otherwise we are open to all forms, styles, and genres, as long as the submission is 500 words or less.
We have been known to consider works of 501 words. We have been known to ignore works of 5,000 words.
Submissions of comics and illustrations should be attached as a high resolution JPEG.
Please note that when it comes to illustrations, we prefer the simple pen and ink variety, because they look better when we print them.
We will generally not print sexually explicit or morally questionable material unless it is absolutely hilarious.
